Select one or both providers to access powerful AI models for your writing:
OpenRouter Account
Visit OpenRouter.ai to create your account:
- Access multiple AI models (Claude, GPT-4, Llama)
- Free credits for testing
- Pay-as-you-go pricing
Setup Steps:
- Click "Sign Up" in top right
- Enter email and password
- Verify email address
- Access dashboard for API key
OpenAI Account
Visit OpenAI.com to create your account:
- Access to GPT-3.5 and GPT-4
- DALL-E 3 image generation
- $5 free credit for new users
Setup Steps:
- Choose "Sign Up" option
- Enter email and verify
- Complete account setup
- Add payment method
Set Up Your Novel Vision AI Access
Follow the steps below for your chosen provider(s):
OpenRouter API Key
- Navigate to the API Keys page
- Click "Create New Key"
- Name your key (e.g., "Novel Vision AI")
- Set usage limits (optional)
- Copy and save your key securely
Your key includes $1 in free credits. Additional credits can be purchased as needed.
OpenAI API Key
- Go to API Keys section
- Click "+ Create new secret key"
- Add a key name (optional)
- Set expiration date (recommended)
- Copy your key immediately
New accounts receive $5 in free credits. Add a payment method to continue using the API after credits expire.
Important: Keep your API keys secure and never share them. They provide full access to your account and usage will be billed to your payment method.

Our application is completely free to use. The only costs you might incur are from OpenRouter or OpenAI API usage, which varies by model choice.

- Each model has its own per-token pricing which you can review before use
